Import CSV, JSON and XML into Airtable, and keep it in sync
Airtable's own CSV import creates records. Rowvela also updates the ones you already have, matched on a key, and shows the difference before it writes. Use a file URL that refreshes on a schedule, or upload the file.
Formats
| Format | Details |
|---|---|
| CSV | Header row as field names; UTF-8, with or without BOM. |
| JSON | Any structure. Pick the list that holds the records; nested values are mapped by path. |
| XML, RSS, Atom | Converted to the same tree as JSON. DTDs are rejected and depth and node counts are bounded. |
From a URL or uploaded
- URL: any public HTTPS file, including signed links and Amazon S3 objects. Schedule the import to pick up a file that is regenerated nightly.
- Upload: UTF-8
.csv,.jsonor.xmlinto the workspace file library. Files are streamed in, encrypted in blocks and never get a public URL. Up to 250 MB per file during the pilot, 20 files and 1 GB per workspace. - Uploaded files are immutable: to change the data, upload a new version and build a new preview. That way a preview always refers to exactly one file.
